What is Sciton® BBL?
This laser treatment, or “photo facial,” is designed to refresh the skin and stimulate collagen production. Due to its broad wavelength range, BBL can target a variety of skin issues precisely. Treatment can be customized for a wide range of skin types and conditions. Our providers have enjoyed great success treating rosacea redness, excess pigmentation, scars, wrinkles, facial veins, and uneven texture. Additionally, BBL is used in SkinTyte™ treatment. Lax, saggy skin is one of the most prominent signs of aging. We fight this common issue with non-invasive technology, which activates new collagen and elastin to tighten skin on your face and most any part of your body.
How does ProFractional™ work?
Sciton’s ProFractional™ treatment is a gentle and attractive alternative to older CO2 lasers. It is designed to treat only a fraction of the skin, not the full surface area. This makes ProFractional™ a highly precise, safe, and tolerable treatment for all skin types and a variety of skin issues, from fine lines to dark spots. During treatment, the laser also creates microscopic channels deep within the skin while leaving the surrounding tissue untouched. As your body heals these columns or channels, collagen is produced to fill in wrinkles and other depressions, and to renew the skin from within.
How is MicroLaserPeel® different from other peels?
Peels are a powerful and versatile way to resurface the skin, lifting away old and damaged skin cells to reveal fresh, unblemished ones underneath! Skin may be resurfaced chemically, mechanically (with microdermabrasion), or in this advanced manner, with lasers. MicroLaserPeel® is a highly refined treatment that allows our providers to use laser energy to polish away damaged skin cells in extremely thin or microscopic layers. As this superficial layer is removed, healthy cell turnover and collagen production are triggered. Improvements in the appearance of enlarged pores, acne scars, sun damage, lines, wrinkles, and more occur gradually as real changes take place deep within your skin. However, you may notice that your skin looks more even and feels softer within a week of your first treatment.
How can lasers remove hair?
The Sciton® platform we use uses advanced laser technology that targets hair follicles. As the energy from the laser is absorbed by the hair’s pigment, this process damages the follicle. Hairs can no longer grow through the treated/damaged follicles. Due to how hair grows (in cycles), several treatment sessions are generally needed to permanently reduce hair thickness and density. As a laser hair reduction treatment, this means some fine hairs may remain. But lasers deliver dramatic, long-term results without the hassle of temporary “fixes” (like waxing and shaving) or the discomfort of conventional electrolysis for permanent hair removal.
