What is Juliet MTS Microneedling?
Like other microneedling devices, this technology uses many ultra-fine and sterile needles to create microscopic openings in the surface of the skin. This encourages the skin’s natural repair processes and the production of new collagen. Unlike other devices, Juliet MTS uses an Auto Micro-Needle Therapy System (AMTS), which is just the technical way of referring to a motorized handpiece. This handpiece quickly moves the needles up and down in an automated and consistent fashion. Since it does not rely on manual processes, Juliet MTS allows for more even, precise, and repeatable treatments and minimizes unnecessary trauma to the skin.
How does it work?
Microneedling is intended to stimulate structural proteins within the skin, such as collagen. This process renews and repairs the skin gradually. So, you may notice that your skin looks better, little by little, over time. Additionally, microneedling helps topical products work better. Serums and other powerful formulations can penetrate deeply into the skin through the small openings or channels made by the Juliet MTS device. Since AMTS moves needles at a consistent speed and depth, this particular treatment supports predictable results.

What happens during treatment?
Following a consultation and evaluation at our office, you may decide to move forward with treatment. If so, we start each treatment by thoroughly cleansing the skin to remove makeup, oil, and impurities. We may numb your skin. The handpiece is then applied to your areas of concern. While patient sensitivity varies, you may experience temporary pressure or a prickly, scratchy feeling during the procedure. To jumpstart a comfortable recovery, we apply a soothing, hydrating product to the treated areas.
What is recovery like?
Your skin may immediately look flushed and feel sunburnt after treatment. Visible redness should go away after 24-72 hours. It’s important to follow the instructions that we provide to you. This helps with comfort as your skin heals and prevents complications. For instance, only use gentle skincare products. Avoid direct sunlight. Always use proper sun protection.
How many treatments will I need?
Juliet MTS Microneedling is generally not a one-and-done treatment. It is most commonly performed as a series of treatment sessions. These appointments are scheduled several weeks apart, with each one building upon the other. Once initial redness subsides, you may notice that your skin looks fresher and more “glowy.” The skin’s repair process is gradual, so it can take several weeks to months to notice improvements in the appearance of scars, fine lines, and deeper concerns.
