Photorejuvenation is also known by many different names. You might have heard names like IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) and BBL (BroadBand Light). We at Pua Manu Medspa utilize BBL technology which delivers light energy that is absorbed by the unwanted pigment, wrinkles and vessels on the skin.
After each treatment some of the pigmentation may turn darker and peel off in a few days, others could need more treatment to achieve the desired result depending on the depth of the pigmentation and vessels location.
People that benefit most from this treatment are light colored skin with sun damage. This treatment can be performed on the face, neck, decollate, hands, arms and legs.
Photorejuvenation activates collagen production restoring the skin to a more youthful stage. This treatment in general is well tolerated without any anesthetic. It could feel like a small rubber band snapping on the skin while it is treated. You may also feel some heat.
