Although Oahu is very beautiful, it can also be very hot. With humid weather comes the

Patient FAQ’s

How does it work?
MiraDry uses focused microwave energy that is the ideal wavelength for safely eliminating the
sweat and odor glands in the underarm. It non-invasively targets the area where the glands reside
and safely destroys them while cooling the skin from the heat.

Wait — don’t I need sweat glands?
Not on your underarms! You are born with approximately 2 million sweat glands and your
underarms contain only 2% of those glands.

Is the miraDry procedure painless?
Local anesthesia will be administered to the underarm prior to treatment. Most patients
experience little-to- no pain. Patients rated treatment pain on an average score of 2 on a scale
from 1 to 10, 10 being very painful.

Is it safe?
Yes, miraDry has been used in over 55,000 treatments worldwide with an excellent safety
record. It was FDA approved in 2011.

How much does miraDry cost?
Our team will be more than happy to go over pricing options during your complimentary
consultation.
